Anyone figure out the line to add or change to get the compass in the center dash display?

So I just stumbled upon this and have a couple questions. Main things I want to do are a)recalibrate the speedo for my 33s, and b) turn off the DRLs (Canadian truck). Do I need an OBDLink or can I use any Bluetooth obd2 scanner? I have a basic Bluetooth obd2, I thinks it's Foseal. As for Forscan, I need to install it on my laptop or my phone? Thank you in advance for any help!

Not sure about the scanner, but the OBD2 MX bluetooth works for sure. You will need to download the Forscan to your laptop to make changes I believe. Dont think you can make changes from the phone app.

The OBDLink has the most features and compatibility. Any ELM327 bluetooth OBD2 adapter should work.

You do have to use the computer based software to make any changes. The phone software is read only.

Thanks to gthrift's spreadsheet, I got remote start enabled. I don't have it showing in the dash in order to change options yet, as I haven't messed with anything in the ICM.

In the spreadsheet, I see 2 entries in ICM 720-01-02 that were used to add remote start to the STX. I have an 13 XLT (4.2" screen, no touch, camera in rearview mirror, brake controller, rear park sensors) and haven't tried these yet. I didn't know if I could add two lines with the same module number either.

I also read about paintballdude05 losing his camera display when trying to make the remote start menu appear. Anyone have the remote start menu appearing successfully without messing up other things in a similarly equipped truck?

I have the same setup as you, I also have remote start in my menu. Scroll back in this thread for the post I made showing my bcm as built data.

I made it through nearly the first 20 pages, post by post, and did multiple searches.....LOL.

I don't care about dark cars, DRL's, nav, boost gauges, etc. What I do care about is air conditioning.

Does this program have the ability to make our A/C compressor run longer, and not cut out for a puny MPG increase?

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks. I found your original as built data in post #151. It looks like it was before remote start was activated. I got remote start working by changing 725-19-01 from 0047 to 0148. I'm looking for the line(s) to get the menu added in the dash under "Settings:Vehicle". I thought this was in the IPC section.

Going by the as built data you posted in post #151, we do have a few differences. Mine is a 4x4 with e-locker though (forgot to put this in my last post).

Oh yeah, I added RS after I bought the truck, forgot about that. I haven't extracted build data with forscan yet. Been too damned hot outside to do anything.
