The plugs are different from what I can tell. If you had the correct plug and could swap all of the wires 1 for 1 it might work, you'd probably be the first to try it.

Not only the wiring, but making it fit in the space of the old cluster while keeping it looking good would be another challenge.

I'm assuming the answer is yes, but figured I'd ask anyway. This isn't directly related to Forscan but it is related to the fact that I activated remote start.

I have the basic speedometer cluster, and if I replaced with an XLT cluster with a different amount of miles, my dealer should be able to match it to my truck's actual mileage correct?

No your dealer can't unless you buy a brand new unit via tasca or any ford parts supplier with all of your vin data. If swapping in a used one only a speedo repair shop can technically change the cluster mileage. Dealers can't do it.

i did the same as you , the cluster I used has around d 12k more on It then my truck does . I'm not to worried about it in ohio you have to disclose the info anyhow and I took a pic of the mileage on both when i switch them. If my ocd gets too bad I may send it out

Well the dealer can, they just will send it to a speedo shop to do it and charge you more, for it as well as for taking it out and putting it back i.

It's cheaper and faster for you to just send it to a speedo shop yourself.

If anyone has been following my led conversion, I fixed the issue. What I did was, installed 2 resistors in the passenger side front head light. I added resistors to the three wires that go to the blinker light. one resistor to the blinker and another resistor to the marker light wire. I think the issue was, it was bleeding through to the marker circuit and making all the lights flash, but very dim. I'm also thinking that if I just added the one resistor to the marker light wire, that would have fixed the issue also.
