Don't get too excited. As already stated it's just a gimmick. They do this sale every year from june until early sept. My truck had an msrp of 43k. I got it for 30k. It's nothing fancy, jus a supercab XTR 3.7 4x4. They screw you in interest with this sale. I was paying 6.75% until I refinanced with my bank.

Basically what the sale is, is that you get the truck at the same price as you would if you bargained with them any other time of the year. With this sale they do not budge on the price, maybe a couple hundred but that's it.

Yeah good to know, luckily I work at a bank so I will not be doing financing through the dealership. But I do see how that would come into play.

It is a good time for not having to fight for a deal. I did the same in 2010 when I bought mine. Got delivery allowance, ford family pricing, recycle your ride (3000 for my old vw golf) and 1000 off for financing through ford, total it was around 14500 off a 52000 truck. 37500 isn't bad for a loaded lariat. Now as far as them not budging on the price anymore than that, I got the same speech, so to sweeten the deal I got them to pay to put in a two way remote starter and get the windows tinted for me at a local shop after the truck was built and was all done for delivery. Not much, but a few hundred bucks left in my pocket.

^That's a good point, you don't have to waste time/energy to bargain with them. It's all done for you. What I did to get the price down was I originally got a quote from another dealer then I took it to my local dealer and asked them if they could beat it. I only got an additional $300 off but better than nothing. The other place said the price was final and they can't go lower.

But the wife would disagree

If I get 20k off my MSRP then my truck will be traded in faster than the event fully begins, cause I'd make $2k from the deal lol.

I wish it was 20k!! I don't think it is. The max amount you get off a truck was 14k last year. I was able to get 12k plus 1k because I had a costco card.

Yup. Got $13k off my truck. It can't be $20k off MSRP, $36k for the new truck I'm looking at. Mine's worth $37-39k as it sits.

My sticker price was 46k. I was out the door at 36k just a month ago. They call sales by different names, but the deal is usually the same. Mine was X-Plan btw.

Just went to another dealership here in town today.

Again $59,000 sticker and he will go $46,000 so $13,000 off.

Obviously the amount of the discount as stated before in this thread really depends on the price of the vehicle.

I will wait and see what the other dealership says on Thursday.
