Sync Retention
You can in fact retain your Sync, I have done this in my 2010 F150, with the following http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...o-MS-FRD1.html. These people were most helpful in the entire process. They do have the harnesses and face platesfor what you are wanting to do.

What do you have? The way I understand is that the harness comes with everything to integrate. I ditched sync as my aftermarket did everything better than the sync.

I ended up with a Kenwood DDX 616 with BT. I got it pretty cheap after a ton of research. I liked the sync and was going the route of retaining it but I was sick of sync not "hearing" me with windows down or people talking. I got an Axxess SWI box the auto syncronized with my steering wheel buttons, no lag like the other brand. A nice plus was that I am able to play video off of the ipod so now I just load it up with digital copies of movies and no more dragging dvd's around. Also it is expandable, you can add what you want, HD, Sat, Navi ect..

I see. It have its own mic for the BT or use syncs? phone button still work for its bluetooth or you gotta hit a button on the screen? Ive never had any problem with my sync except when using a crap ipod, switched to flash drives and fixed that problem. I never had to voice train it either. Could you retain sync with that deck? it looks to be decent and fairly cheap compared to the stock nav system. If sync would work with it might be a good option for lots of people who want an upgrade.
