Default rear defrost not working

Hey guys and gals i have 2011 f150 platinum 4x4 super crew with 5.0 v8 and it is having rear window defrost issues and probably side mirror defrost. Have read on the forums that Ford says to replace the window and since my truck is 6 years old i don't have that kind of money. last year I pulled off my truck door left mirror and everything on it to paint my door. well since then defrost hasn't work so this might be my issue but the power mirror functions work. I haven't tested the electrical connections to the mirror yet but that is next. Well today I decided to lower the rear seat and take off the back panel that is hiding all the wires. I cleaned all the window contacts and used sandpaper plus electrical cleaner. then I noticed that big plastic tab on the sliding window was very loose and probably came loose my my little boys. So i popped it off and cleaned the metal contacts on the big window and that piece i took off. i bought special glue for the defrost tabs. So at this point I am waiting for it cure and pray that this works. I am posting pictures of the area that I did the work. I will update on what I find out tomorrow evening when it cures for 24 hours.

I have never even needed to use it and we get brutal winters here in Iowa.

I mainly use it for the side mirrors and hoping those still work even if the light is not on the switch.

The mirrors can still work if the light doesn't come on, it depends on exactly what is going on.
