Default Ford remote start and Viper 5901

I have a 2011 Lariat and was thinking about going back to the dealer and getting the factory oem alarm. First question is how good is this alarm, they want to sell it to me for 595$
Also if I get the Viper 5901 alarm how will this alarm get along with my factory remote start? Will these 2 units work together? Again this is on a 2011.

I would either go all Viper or all factory. Since you already have the factory remote start, maybe stay that way. IF I had my choice from scratch, I would go aftermarket with a 2010. I understand though, that the 2011s have way more functionality with remote starters, so your factory setup may be just fine, unless you want all the extra stuff with aftermarket.

from what i was told when i putting my viper in was that using factory remote start will often times set off the relatively sensitive viper alarm. i decided to go viper all the way around and am thus far very happy with it
