How's the speed on this?
I have a Viper SmartStart on my 99 Expedition that can get the car running in less than 10 seconds. However, on my 2014 Impala, the factory "phone" remote start takes almost a minute.
I plan to put this in my truck, but don't want to pay for slow factory Impala-like performance.
I'm assuming the Impala is using EDGE and the Viper 3G or even 4G, but I'm not positive. All I know is that Viper is really fast.

The whole process is probably 10 seconds or less. The truck starts around 5 seconds after hitting the icon, and another 5 seconds later you get the true confirmation that it started.

Thanks for the info! Aside from this, are there any other extra cost like modules? I plan to install it in a 2013 Lariat.

If you can still find the DL3Z-19G364-A kit, and you don't have the factory remote start, then all you need is the antenna ($30), dealer laptop programming (my dealer charged $40 and was done earlier when I installed the base 100 series starter), and also the cell signal activation from the dealer as well (my dealer did it for free and it was the first time they've even heard of this system).
If you already have the factory remote start and find a DL3Z-19G364-A kit, then all you need is the dealer to do the cell signal activation.
I installed all the hardware and wiring myself.
