- What, if any, are the costs associated?
- Do you have to go to the dealer?
- What hardware is compatible?
- How well does it work compared with aftermarket devices?
- What models are compatible?

Idk what RS means?
Ask a dealership for the list, they shouldn't have any trouble giving that to you.

Oh.
This works WITH an existing remote start system. If you don't have a ford OEM remote start, this is of no use. This doesn't include a remote start system
I suppose a dealer could install it...

haha more confusion. When you look at the install instructions, it shows how to install the Remote Start System(RMST) along with the cellular unit (RMU).
Here is a screen shot of the 200 series install instructions. All these parts came with the 200 Series Kit (plus the LED and Program Button are not shown and the shock sensor is now an external unit, no longer built into the RMST Unit):

Here is a screen shot of the Remote Access Install instructions. Based on the 200 series i would assume all these parts come with it as well:

BUT, another user on here posted a pic of what was in the box and it was only the RMU, no RMST unit.

This is so confusing ford, why can't they just spell out what is in these kits and what is needed to go from one to the other. Does this make sense to anyone who actually knows?

The Zachory guy is supposed to be finding that out for me. He should know by Monday he said. I'll update on what he tells me. I really want to know before i decide to pull the trigger. I am not overly happy about the 72 standby thing, but i understand why.
