  • What, if any, are the costs associated?
  • Do you have to go to the dealer?
  • What hardware is compatible?
  • How well does it work compared with aftermarket devices?
  • What models are compatible?

Yes as unless dealer or previous owner installed they do not come from the factory with the VSS.

I would try mounting it to a more rigid surface so that it can pick up the transfer if vibrations better. How is it mounted currently?

It's mounted to the electronic brake wire harness.

Its most likely absorbing vibrations rather than detecting them, Try a more solid surface if you can.

Would you recommend two way tape to either the inside fender or firewall?

Sure 2 sided tape on the firewall would certainly be more rigid and should pickup any vibrations through the body very well.

The selling dealer will need to activate for you.

When purchasing from us we include activation at no charge.

Default iPhone Support for Remote Start

Without reading 109 pages of this thread, can someone tell me if there's an iPhone app that will work to start my 2014 FX4. I have remote start on it, I'm just looking for an app, like GMC has with OnStar.

This is the right thread and there is an app. It's called Remote Access, you'll need 2 parts - look back and read just the last 4 to 5 pages (look for the parts listings for the '14) - the part numbers are listed by Benny at Levittown Ford. You can buy from him and he will activate remotely. Buy from somewhere else and make sure they will activate it for you if you do a self install.
