Issue: Ford Remote Access app review

The Ford Remote Access app is available for both IPhone and Android users to control vehicle features. The app lets you remote start, remote stop, lock, unlock, audible car find, and there is even an optional feature to receive security notifications.

Read to find out more:
  • What, if any, are the costs associated?
  • Do you have to go to the dealer?
  • What hardware is compatible?
  • How well does it work compared with aftermarket devices?
  • What models are compatible?

Ok so I bought one of these "Ford Remote Access" but opted out because my installer figured out how to get the non oem version "Carlink w/GPS" by Audiovox to work seamlessly like oem. I have the install instructions which my installer got from a ford tech because the box only come with the module no instructions. Everything is plug and play just needs a trip to the dealer to program it, 15min process but most dealers may charge the full hour. I paid $487 for it anyone interested in can have it for $350, it's a company vehicle so boss picked up the bill and Ford won't take it back so it's a good deal especially for anyone who knows a tech that can set up the programing for it. Installation is plug and play no splicing or cutting. Let me know.

I'm will officially post it on the for sale forum tomorrow.

X2 for the instructions, i haven't called the dealer yet about it but my dad bus parts for his business and should be able to get it cheaper. I figured we could install it ourselves and then my brother could take it to the dealer he use to work for and get it programmed...
