Default launching a 5.0

Can someone please tell me what rpm I should launch at? I have an MPT tune and when I launch at 2000 rpm, my speedo goes the whole way 20 mph than goes back down to about 10 then I have a huge surge amount of acceleration but I feel like I lose time. If I accelerate without technically launching I get mid 5s 0-60 but when I launch I get low 6s. Is this a tuning issue or am I launching wrong? I also have headers x pipe cai etc if that matters. Thanks for all the input.

Makes sense. Jus curious - maybe a stupid question but I have ATs. Would a lower profile tire gain more traction?

Lower profile doesn't really matter. Its all about tread pattern. If you got to a street tire it will gain you more traction

Learn how to roll into the throttle instead of slamming it to the floor for your launch. Traction bars and good sticky tires with the proper technique will let you brake torque and pull off your best times.

Leave soft and roll into the throttle. Spinning tires does nothing but lose time. E locker of you have it too.
