Once again, for the record, I have "NO STAKE" in this, and I'm certainly not biased (I bought one from Anderson-Koch)

YEARS ago, I was looking for a good discount on a FORD ESP, and Zeigler was one of those. A guy named MIKE CASE at the time handled that portion of Zeigler's business. I asked him if he could do any better on the price, and he did make it lower than anyone else.

Mike Case left the company, and Bob Cline took over that part of the online business. I suggested to Bob some of the discounts that Mike had offered to forum members. Thus where the "GREGH" discount came from.

I don't work for Zeigler. Obviously, I'm not in Michigan. I got the discount everyone else got when it first got published. Call if sort of a "group buy" like other vendors do in the forums. Its literally saved F150 forum members THOUSANDS of dollars combined. so what's wrong with trying to get anyone interested a discount? Where is there always an accusation that there's "some stake in it for me" (this has happened a few times along the way), or that I'm biased? I stated the offer, and I further clarified why it changed.

BUY YOUR FORD ESP PLAN FROM WHO EVER YOU WANT TO, AND FROM WHO EVER OFFERS THE BEST PRICE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE!

Call your online dealer if you have questions of need something explained or clarified.

It seems you have a stake in it (hence your name "GREGH") so it would seem you are biased.

By the way, I never said Flood has a financing option.

I am not trying to argue with you but just want the facts out there so everyone can make an informed decision. Thanks for helping us F150 members.

I just called Flood Ford. They confirmed, they DO NOT offer a finance offer on the FORD ESP, because the dealer is the one who has to pay for the contract, since the offer is 0% to the customer, so it would just be added to the price if they did.

Thus, is why Zeigler changed the promo from $225 to $75.

The offer had to be changed so that EVERYONE could use the financing option if they wanted.

if you don't want to finance, call Zeigler directly and he will BEAT flood's current price.

Post using ESP to close a deal??

Hello all, I'm new to this forum but have been browsing around and have found some very helpful posts. Not an F150 owner yet but plan to be early next year. One thing I have been back and forth on is choosing between the EcoBoost and the 5.0, and from what I gathered on another post was it basically just comes down to preference when behind the wheel. Regarding these ESPs, I was wondering if anyone has ever tried or considered getting them added on during a sale? Meaning after the price of the new truck and trade in is negotiated, you say throw in an ESP and we have a deal. What it looks to me like with the EcoBoost is that it's not so much that they have a lot of problems, but more so if there is a problem it's going to be an EXPENSIVE one if out of warranty. Would that be a good way to look at it?

When I bought my truck, the add on like this, came from the guy in finance. Everything he was attempting to sell me was third party and there was no negotiations in price.

Having bought 5 ESP's in the past, I have only bought them through outside online sources for the very best deals. In most cases, the finance guy who makes his commission at the dealer for this, is un-willing to negotiate to or below what you can get online.

Remember, you don't have to do anything until you get near the 3/36k mark, but waiting will cost you more. Also remember if you buy local, you pay tax also.

Lombard and Flood seem to do the best job here and I have purchased several from Lombard in the past myself.

It can have 35,999 miles on it, and your sales person, online or at your dealer whatever, could sell it to you for the same price as when it had .3 miles on it. Do your homework. Get an online quote, printed, then hand that to your dealer. -after- your all done dealing on the truck (if your buying a truck at that point). Dealer matches that price, or beats it, tax included and you buy right there. If not, you buy online. Very easy.
Sure......the guy might "Throw in a great deal" on the ESP, if your buying the truck.....and he's already shafting you on the price of the truck. Negotiate truck first. Get it where you want it. Then do esp stuff. Or just skip it.....says this guy who is driving around with a heat/Ac fan that only works on high, or low, 50 % of the day, but works fine the rest of the day. I have the 100k premium esp but IMO, dealers can't fix anything unless it's Realllly broken. So I'm waiting for my fan to not work at all, or at least get worse, before I take it in. Right now they'd just take my $100 deductible, drive it for five minutes, and tell me they were "unable to replicate the concern".

that is DEFINATELY not accurate! over 12 months since you bought your truck, there is a $100 surcharge.

The application even asks if you are WITHIN 12 months of your 'inservice' date..... Of course, Oasis knows your inservice date, so you can't really "trick" the system.

That's why you buy the ZERO deductible plan. Its not much more than the $50 or $100 deductible one.

I was going to disagree with him, but I think he just means that if you are good negotiator, you may be able to. I have always looked right after I bought a car and then checked later, it was always higher after.

I've purchased two, within the last three years, off of the same sales guy that I've purchased my last five new trucks from. I consider him a good guy. Last time, I really wasn't sure I was even going to keep the truck, so I asked specifically if I could hold off on buying the warranty. He gave me a price, right then, that Matched the Best online price I had seen, or heard of on here. He then told me I could come back and get it for that price at Any time, 35,999 miles, whatever. I drove it a while, looked at getting another diesel instead, then decided to keep it and purchase the warranty. It wasn't quite a year later. Maybe he was mistaken and if I had waited longer it would have cost more. I dunno. But I doubt he was wrong, or that he'd lie to me. FYI, the $100 plan was Significantly cheaper than the $0 or $50 plans. Actual purchase price. Not talking the reciculously inflated bogus list price. I'd say that their markup/profit margin must be different on each., and that the average guy has no idea how lucrative that business can actually be. IMO.

sorry for the lack of update on this thread. I FINALLY got my refund for my old extended warranty plan... there were some mixups with the finance lady at the dealer i bought the truck at, but it was all finally squared away. i will be calling Bank of America tomorrow to get my check to pay for the new ESP from Ziegler Ford. i decided to go with the 6yr 75K mile $0 Ded. warranty. that should end in 2019 if my math is correct and my loan will be over at the end of 2020 so i'll only have 1 year or no coverage on my truck. hopefully all the known issues will be sorted out by then. little things that go wrong i can easily take care of though in that year and a half-ish. just thought i'd give u guys the latest update even tho its been a while...
