I will be purchasing my 7 yr 125 k mile warranty very soon. To much on these trucks that CAN go wrong so for my peace of mind I believe in the extended warranty. If nothing goes wrong in that period of time......... so be it.

Hey guys, what's the going prices on the Ford ESP plans anyway? I didn't buy it when I bought because I wasn't 100% sure how long I would keep it, plus I've read more than once that an aftermarket plan is usually better. Obviously, you have to do your homework on them.

Go to www.floodfordesp.com, and run the price. You will save money. I bought the 7/75 w/$50 deductible premium care for $1110. Saved $600 over my dealers asking price. It's an easy smooth transaction, and the original Ford ESP.

There are several other Ford dealers that sell online also. I bought fro Flood because they were the cheapest at the time.
General Pain, I advise that you buy the original Ford ESP. There is just to many hoops to jump through to get a third party plan to pay. They may be cheaper, but IMHO in this case you get what you pay for.

Also, if you have waited to buy the price is usually $50 - $100 more. I don't know why, but it is.

I am seriously thinking of getting this. I bought mine CPO and I can go 9 years 125K miles with $50 deductible for less than $2000. Very tempting. I've never had a car that long, but I am definitely keeping this past the factory warranty. It's all about peace of mind.

I went through Flood Ford for my esp also. Very hassle free and priced better than I could find anywhere else. For under $700 I got a 7 year plan and piece of mind of knowing I won't have any major expenses for quite some time. Plus, I believe its transferable.

My 2012 EcoBoost is the first vehicle that I purchased a warranty for. I was primarily concerned with the turbos... I think I paid like $1100 for a 7/75K warranty (of course that was 18 months ago). Considering you already have a power train warranty, the price you are quoting seems high to me.
My personal opinion on the tech items is that they will typically fail quickly, within the 3/36 timeframe. If I had lots of failures during that time period I would consider trading to get rid of a problem vehicle. As it is, I'm half way through that period and the only reason the truck has been on the dealer lot is when I needed to turn around once

Ditto on Flood Ford, at the time of purchase they were leading the pack in lowest cost.
