Make sure you are comparing apples to apples with the cost between the two. I also found a site that you could get them for about 100 over dealer cost. I opped to give the extra to my dealer because they have been very good to me. You can always negociate with your dealer too.
You can negotiate with your dealer if your not in Florida or any other state that regulates insurance. I was lucky in that I found a dealer who would sell to me, plus I saved $1100 compared to the same coverage with a higher deductible if I bought in Fl.

I didn't buy from this site, but it was instrumental in getting my dealer to bargain down on the price

I got the impression dealers hate this site :

It's been almost a month since this thread died but I thought it worth mentioning for those who might actually search.

I have purchased Ford ESP plans from

Factory Discount Warranty. They sell factory warranties for many brands but Ford was one of the first. Troy was the guy I first dealt with 6 years ago and have been dealing with ever since. He's likely the guy who will respond to you as well. He works for a Ford dealer. It's a Ford warranty. Nothing funky going on. They just focus on volume.

The dealer quoted me $2195 for a 7 year/100k, $100 deductible ESP PremiumCare plan. FD Warranty quoted me $1259. It's a no-brainer. Troy is a good guy.

The best the dealer would do was "employee" pricing at $1795. Seriously? I guess when I buy a truck for $1000 under invoice and $5k in rebates they are going to try to make it back somewhere.

actually this thread is over a Year old!

This has been discussed alot and the two cheapest sites have been http://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com/ or http://www.floodfordesp.com/

How does your price compare to them? Watch when selecting quotes as far as the rental car options, and if you have 4x4 or not.

I bought mine through Flood Ford, it was a few bucks cheaper than Anderson for the particular coverage I wanted.

Flood Ford is $59 cheaper than FD Warranty for 7yrs/100k/$100. FD Warranty is $60 cheaper than Anderson.

Thanks for the insight. When I started with FD Warranty, there really weren't any competitors out there. Because I have a history with Troy, I'll probably just let him have the extra $60 over Flood Ford.

But it burns me up how much the local dealer wanted even at "employee" pricing. That would make me not want to work there.

was the cheapest of all my comparisons.....Almost $70 cheaper.....

Zeigler was the cheapest, but they went up almost $100 on every plan.

Dealers can sell the warranty for what ever they choose. Usually NOT under invoice though.....
Depends on whether you want to do the haggling game on the warranty as well.

I declined the dealer price, bought from Anderson Koch.

A week later, the dealer called back, and agreed to honor their price. TOO LATE DUDE!

My local dealer didn't even try to sell ESP warranty. They went directly with some "Brand X" company that gave them a bigger profit margin. I understand the practice of unloading a third party warranty instead of an extended factory warranty is a common practice with the sleazier Honda dealers as well. I noticed that Flood has dropped the price $15 bucks since I bought it a few months ago. That suggests that Ford is having a favorable claims history with its vehicles. That's a good thing.
