Hello,
I am new to this forum. I bought a brand new 2013 F150 XLT Crewcab last fall. I refused to upgrade to the platinum edition for power folding mirrors. I have ordered aftermarket power folding, heated, puddle light mirrors from 1A Auto online. I found some one that can install a relays and buttons on my truck. After reading this forum, I see that someone with a 2011 was able to install without adding any relays and are able to use all functionality of the power folding, heated mirrors, and puddle lights. I would like to install myself since I am pretty technical with previous aftermarket stuff on previous vehicles. I believe that if I do not use a relay, I will just need to order a two new "2013 Ford F150
#119814-07177678 Door Mirror Switch" for the driver and passenger side and ran some wires and splice some wires. Can anyone give me any feed back?

Below is the picture of the door switch. I am wondering if the puddle lights and heated mirrors will work automatically defrost windows and the dome lights when locking or unlocking vehicle. I am thinking they will. Can anyone give me some feedback?

First of all.....the trucks with power fold mirrors only have one switch on the driver's side - it folds both mirrors at the same time when you pull it back.

I recently installed PowerScope tow mirrors (power fold, power telescope) on my truck and had to wire up the telescoping switch and the marker/running lights. During prep for the mod I came across the diagrams below of the plugs that attach right at the mirror.

The top one is the driver's side, and the bottom one is the passenger side.

I had the full everything mirrors (power adjust, power fold, memory, heat, puddle lights, etc.) and just like in the pictures my plugs had every terminal full on the driver's side, and two terminals empty (# 2&9) on the passenger side. The driver's side mirror has auto-dim wires attached to 2&9, but the passenger mirrors don't have auto-dim so the terminals are empty.

I have a 2013, and I don't know what model year those diagrams are for - some of the wire colors were not the same as mine, but I'm quite sure the terminal #s are correct for all the different functions.

So....if you pull your door panels and take a look at your plugs, if every terminal on the driver's side has a wire going into it, and only the # 2&9 terminals are empty (no wires going in) on the passenger side, then you may have your harness all prewired for a plug-n-play install.

Even if you do have all the wiring, if you didn't have power adjust, memory, heat, etc. to start with, you may not have the modules that control all those functions.

Below you're looking at the "face" of the plug, with the wires coming out the back side.

I don't have a diagram of the pinouts for the power adjust/power fold switch. I already had that so didn't need to do any wiring to/from it.

Good luck!!

The part numbers I'm seeing for the power fold mirrors are for the regular mirrors.
I have ,and want to keep the Heated Power Tow mirrors ,with puddle lights.(2012 Platinum with tow package)
But I would like to add power fold to the mix.
Can I do it with tow package?

Thank you KR Kodi for your fast reply to my question. Fortunately I only order one switch for the drivers side. I will definitely use your diagram as a reference for my install on my non-platinum edition 2013 Ecoboost F150 XLT crewcab and hopefully post celebration pics. :-)

If you're not familiar with this thread in the Tow/Haul section, take a look:

https://www.f150forum.com/f82/f150-p...-works-236107/

Many of us have been watching since last fall, expecting the mirrors in the spring, then summer, and most recently in the middle of September.

He'll have several versions up to a power fold model.

I don't think he's gonna have a power telescoping version, but manual telescoping would be fine for most owners.

These mirrors look like the F150 PowerScope (power fold, power telescope) model with the SuperDuty turn signal/marker light on them. I believe 1A also sells the older version that doesn't have the light on them.

I wanted power telescoping Tow Mirrors, so I found a pair of used PowerScope mirrors, got the telescoping switch, plug with pigtails of wires, and the bezel, and mounted them in my truck.

Yes I have been following that thread and have PMed tony about prices for the memory feature. They will definitely work for me and I hope they are released shortly.
I'm not concerned about the power telescoping , just the fold.
I was just wondering if I was missing anything that is out now.
Thank You

Hello,
I installed my new power folding mirrors and new driver side switch with power folding option. Everything works, but the folding mirror function. My truck is a 2013 XLT Crewcab Texas edition and not the platinum edition. Can someone give me the wiring to make the folding function work please. A nice detailed diagram would be nice.

I just completed this mod and I would say my electrical skills are a 4 out of 10. This was easy. Just look at first few pages of this thread and it will tell you everything you need to know. Took me about 4 hours and that includes turning my front reflectors into blinkers.

I followed the instructions to the wires and my harness is missing the wires so I just plugged wireds as instructed to new switch control module. Everything works but the folding mirrors. I guess I need a relay or something. Everything matches to what instructed. Unless I got a bad control switch or my after market mirrors don't work for folding and are defected? :-(
