Flow-Through Center Console removal question

Thanks again 10BLKLariat for the pointers. Finished my mod this past weekend (I'll post a quick snapshot as soon as I get a chance). All went well once I realized that Ford has (apparently) changed some of the trim pieces for 2011.
Once I got to the point of disconnecting the cable from the shifter, I was completely baffled as to how you had such clear access to it (in order to pry it off with a screw driver). On my truck, there is a piece of plastic that covers the bottom-drivers-side of the shifter mechanism (completely obstructing the view of the connection). This piece of plastic is part of the silver trim that surrounds the entire top of the center console. Turns out to be easy to remove ... you simply have to unscrew the console lid then the silver trip pops off (4 or 5 clips if I remember correctly).
By the way, for anyone else who is doing this, you don't really need to pry the cable off with a screwdriver. Instead, press on the cable (next to where it connects to the shifter) from the passenger side and it will pop off.
