I think that people are getting sick and tired of establishment dems that force gov programs on us and cause not only taxes to rise but also basic living.. Obamacare? Social programs out of hand? Etc. The constitution felt alot safer and off limits under the "establishment republicans". This is off topic but you gave opinion and so did I.

fieldoc, don't get me wrong, ill take an establishment R over any D. But we'd be better off with true conservatives, tea party, or even libertarians in office.

Here, 90 E0, only thing available, is about a $1 more per gallon than 87 E10. I've love to give the man the finger but damn. I do need to run a few tanks to see the mileage difference.

I filled my tank last week with 87 octane. With the cold weather, I could not break 17 MPG thre last 450 miles of this tank. Mostly country roads doing 55-60 mph. With 100 miles projected left on the tank, I decided to stop and get some 91 ethanol free. I only put about 4 gallons in, so at this point the truck was about 5% ethanol. I reset the meter before I even took off from the station. Same average speed and 20 miles down the road my truck was north of 20 MPG!! It was doing as good as pure gas Unfortunate for me, pure gas is 50 cents more, but even with that, miles/$ is the same.
I was perplexed that the truck is doing good with this '5%' blend. This leads me to believe that there is a "threshold" for how much ethanol can be used before mpg takes a total crap. This may explain some variance in results. As I understand, places were mandated to sneak in closer to 15% (probably 14.99%) by the EPA. I believe 10% has been surpassed and they should of stopped there.

I'm driving a 2013 xlt SCAB, 3.31 ratio with 2,400 miles right now.
What engine do you have? I have the 5.0 4x4 with 3.55 gears.

I don't think it took a crap at all. These are real people with real grievances. Cliche as it sounds, people are sick and tired of the liberal agenda. "Tax and regulate the snot out of the middle class while being a bleeding heart to low life's." They fight tooth and nail against good paying solutions like the Keystone pipeline and mining only to waste gobs of tax dollars on 'green' energy like Solyndra and 'algae' People are sick and tired of it.
I am thankful to be in Wisconsin were our Governor is turning things around. Just compare us to Illinois and you will see the difference between responsibility and irresponsible corruption. Or, just look at Detroit. 'nuff said.

Right after the dealer fill up I began putting ethanol free and it was great! Decided to give the "flex fuel" engine a shot with ethanol gas and was immediately rewarded with crap mileage!

Back to REAL gas!
Stop and Rudy's and fill you and the truck up. For "chain" BBQ Rudy's isn't too bad at all.

Your governor needs to quit his job. . . and become president. I've been watching. . . Who ever heard of the government underspending, cutting income tax, cutting property tax, and sending everyone refunds? I bet once conservative principals start showing up as household disposable income the conservative movement will gain steam. THIS is how you deal with unemployment and a slow economy!

It's probably been posted before and I have no idea how accurate it is but this link lists stations without ethanol.
