You're looking for bring a wire into the cabin thru the firewall? I haven't looked on the '09 where a grommet(s) is located but it's normally up and off to the sides of the engine bay.

There's a large grommet (4 inches in diameter or so) on the passenger side of the firewall very close to the fender. I know, because mine was not installed properly and the inside of the cab was loud. I kept saying to people "it sounds like there's a hole in the firewall". I was looking under the hood and there it was!

The grommet is on the driver's side under the brake master cylinder. There is a nipple on the engine bay side that has you can cut off with a utility knife, allowing access to the hole pre-drilled on the interior side.

Once you feed it through the pre drilled hole your talking about, will the wire fall down under the dash at the feet? and will this hole allow an 8 guage wire through?
