The wire (Purple) is already there on the CabSide of the Connector! I grounded my Puddles - to the rear facing blinkers Negative, and Insterted the Positive to the mirror connector and Hot Glued it in place!

So that it Contacts the Purple wire on the CabSide of the connector, so I didn't have to run my wires through the mirror and into the cab! I should have took Pics of that, but I like to get things done quickly, and forget to take some of the Helpful pics!

I have an odd issue, I check all grounds and connections good but when I open door lights flicker til full open or full closed. Once open or closed they are OK but movement dims em. Is it possible the door itself is not grounded as good till fully closed or open. Guess I will have to run a test ground wire to prove.

Was a ground issue. If you ground to the door, at least in my 13. The complete ground comes when the door is close as it clips frame. To ensure a full proper ground either use one from harness or do a separate from door to body ground. !! solved.

Yup, thats why I used the ground wire from the rear facing blinkers!

So the 31mm Festoon fits right into the original socket, or do I need to buy sockets to install inside the housing?

These are the bulbs I am looking at:

And sockets (if ncessary):

Old thread, I know. Figured I'd show my home brew LED setup that I built yesterday. I had a set of OEM puddles but those are from a full set of mirrors that I'm going to sell so I couldn't use those in my truck so I felt like fabbing something up.

For some reason my pics won't load
