Question for anyone running dedicated amber Duallys, is the light output beneficial in normal night driving conditions? We are getting my father in law a set for his bday and I want him to have the benefit for the Colorado winters but also help during normal night travels.

That's a good question. I don't know... Would you be installing them in the location of the fogs or as auxiliary lights in the lower bumper?

They light up signs a lot more than HLs alone do, without being offensive to others. I noticed that.

They are really bright with halogen HLs, they make a very noticeable difference - I've never seen them with JUST the amber D2s but I've seen them used together with stock fogs and its a pretty dramatic improvement.

Or, forget duallies - how about 4x Q4 mounted to one of those NFAB bars.

I do t have dedicated ambers but I run duellys with the amber covers and as Rub said, they light up signage down the road pretty well. I have a fog pattern in my stock fog location and without heads on it lights up a huge cone of light even into the trees above but in an urban setting they don't seem to bother anyone.

The point of my rambling? If mine are good with the 4 led with amber covers, the dedicated Amber D2's will kick butt!

Does anyone here know where a good spot to mount relays in the engine bay?

Somewhere near the firewall?

Put them wherever you can unless you make your own harness, then you can put them wherever you want.

The harness with most RI lights only allows so much so you're VERY limited on mounting options unless you're willing to do a bit of cut and splice (which is actually smart because my OCD would kill me with random *** relays scattered under the hood)
