I posted pics of that earlier. The amber covers are more of a "canary yellow" not amber.

I think we chatted in the past about this as I run with the covers, my output isn't significantly reduced some yes but it's still enough to get flashed and light up a whole street.

Also it's nice to have duel role as white and amber for weather.

I don't think brightness is reduced as much as range. Looks like the covers would diffuse the light quite a bit so they probably LOOK brighter if you look at them. Idk, I'm just guessing here.

Sort of like PnP Hid kits, they LOOK brighter, but they are useless at distance. I would just be worried about glare for other drivers. Again idk

PS: this forum needs a shrug/idk smiley

I'm sure they have to be bright. With cover on I can run them on the road (floods) and don't get flashed but if you pull the covers and run the white it's on! Lol

I would love a set as you can see in pics they look good but that's a lot of coin for a dedicated light when with covers it's duel purpose.

Agree with shrug!

True true. But I figured since Bison said he's already buying another set anyway, a set of ambers could be ideal.

I'd run white D2's in the fogs and then Amber D1's in the bumper opening. That would be my ideal set up I think. Then a 30SR in the grill. That would be perfect.

I love these lights, there are so many possibilities that even if we all have the same brand, chances are any two people aren't gonna have exactly the same setup.

One thing this forum isn't short on is advice and opinions, love it! Thanks for some insight guys, I was mulling over the same ideas. I like the idea of using a cover then you can use the light as a driving light when the weather isn't bad. But I do already have a 20" bar in the bumper opening so with some ambers in the fogs and spots behind the grill I think that should through out plenty of light on the long critter filled highways between ND and Colorado. So maybe instead if a 3rd set of Dualls I should get the back up lights. Or mount flush mount in the bumper like BucketMan. So many options!
