Default Finally finsihed mods on my FX4....

Spent the weekend installing my power retractable sidesteps, BakFlip tonneau cover, and custom wiring of my PIAA lights so thought I would share on this forum.

AMP Research power retractable sidesteps (took me about 3 hours to install):

Doors closed and fully retracted:

Doors open and fully extended providing a 16-inch step in height versus 24 inches:

BakFlip G2 tonneau cover:

PIAA lights wired; notice no visible wires as I custom wired through light bar and into cab:

PIAA switches installed on lower part of center stack:

Lights on:

All done:

Wow. Looks awesome man. Nice work. I wasn't a huge fan of those grilles when I first saw them, but it definitely works for your truck

Thanks clpeller; yeah, I really searched high and low for the grille because they really do vary in look and quality. I finally settled on the Street Scene grille and thought it turned out pretty good. Here's a better pick of the grille:

my brother in law has the amp steps on his duramax. they are pretty amazing and keep some very clean lines. help to give the truck a taller more clearance type of stance. ...i shoulda gone with the Addicts over the FX2 rims, just couldn't pass up the deal.

on a side note... where is the bus you park in here? sweet garage space.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, the sidesteps are about $1300 (I paid $1269 shipped from 4WheelParts.com).

Tha BakFlip is the G2 model; very easy to install and working great. I like the finished look it gives the bed.

Hey RoyallyScrewed....yeah, I wanted to make sure I had the clearance to fit my lifted trucks into the garage....hehe.

Very nice! Is the grill bolt in? I really like it over the stock FX4 grille.
