Fender Flares, do you need 'em?
I have an appointment set up to get my truck lifted. Doing the following:
McGaughy's 6.5" lift
Fuel Octane Chrome 20X9
Toyo 35x12.50x20
Speedo recalibrated and tune
The guy says my wheels will stick out about an inch and a half. Was thinking about going with bushwacker pocket flares. But, do I need flares? That is the question. I could find something else to do with that money ya know...
Any input is appreciated. Joe

Need is a strong word around here! If you want to keep the truck clean and free of rock chips then its a good idea. I like the look of the wheels that stick out though. I have the flares and took then off for a few Weeks to see how I liked it. Well after cleaning all the time and my first chip they went back on!

That's my problem. I like the looks better without, but don't want damage!!! I guess there is really no other option...

If you're not totally sold on the look of the bushwacker pocket flares, going one size down (bushwacker extend-a-fender I think...) is a great option imo.

I did yes. Im running stock size but do a lot of gravel driving. All the paint on the lip of the fenders was chipping off and rusting. Sanded the rust and put on some undercoat and stuck the factory flares on. Good thing about plastic is it won't rust.
