The one I raced shifted pretty quick, and his gears pulled longer. I lost ground every time mine shifted. If I had to guess I would say he had a 3.55 or lower ratio because he didn't shift into 3rd till around 75. I thought for sure he was going to say he was tuned.

Say what you want about Rams..They are nice trucks. I have had many and if I didn't get such a good deal on my F150 I would have got another. Only reason I switched from Ram is because I F'ed up and got a POS Cummins the last time I bought one. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough and it was the diesel platform (DPF, DEF,etc) not the truck itself.

The gears/tranny is what probably got you. Along with less power what would you expect? I have an ecoboost and would expect to get beat also. I have 3:73 and 4wd as well. Off the line I'm sure I'd kill the Dodge but he'd catch up eventually. Who buys these type of trucks to race anyhow?
Also the Dodge would be the last brand of truck I'd buy.

I was unaware of the power the newer models have. Just before this, I walked all over a 2010 model hemi crew 2wd. So getting pulled by the newer one kind of shocked me. I think like a few other guys stated, a tune would help a lot, esp with quicker shifts. Also I think an Eco would have walked it, he only pulled me 1 length, I was on his back bumper when I lifted.
