Default Driver door lock switch not working....fob does work

The driver's door lock switch does not operate the locks. When pressed, nothing happens and no audible noises (no relay click or actuator sound). The key fobs operate the lock/unlock function normally. I suspected a bad switch so ordered and installed a replacement but that had no affect so I don't think it's the actual switch but something else. Searched around here and the internet and there are a lot of threads about door locks but usually complete failure and not the same issue as I have where the key fob still operates the lock while only the actual switch in the drivers door is failing to operate the lock(s).

The truck is recently acquired and appears to have had a remote starter installed at some point in the past. I haven't dove into that yet but suspect it could be related.

Any other suggestions on where to begin trouble shooting? Thanks for any advice!

The wires in the door are a common fail point, they break over time. Mine do it too. Sometimes when the door is open it wont work. I have partially close the door or wiggle the door and it’ll work. Fob works, keypad works. Just that switch gives me issues

Interesting...so the fob works but the switch doesn't? I'll have to pull back the boot between the door & body and see if any wires looked frayed or damaged. That doesn't make sense to me that the fob would still work...you'd think the actuator gets the signal from the same wire but then I haven't looked into a wiring diagram so who knows :-)

Appreciate the input!

No, the wires to the actuators come from the BCM, not direct from the physical switch. So, the switch wires are probably damaged. Could also be the switch itself.

Thanks, that makes sense if a wire from the switch to the BCM is damaged (I swapped out the switch for a new replacement and that didn't fix it). I'll look at the wiring in the door hinge area next opportunity I get.
