I was not aware those were an option on the 11, I test drove one and it was a key and keyless Fab just like my 10. This is the first I've heard that the f150 has a key/Fab all in one other than people buying and programing them off eBay.

SultanGris my neighbor bought his 11 Lariat with remote start and it came as one key with locks and remote start all on the factory key and he went and had the alarm (OEM) installed by the dealer and it still used the same factory key with everything on that one key. I unfortunately had the remote start installed after the truck arrived so I am already carrying an extra key fob just for the remote start.

So If im understanding correctly now if you order an 11 with remote start you get an all in one key/fab, if you order an 11 without remote start and then install factory starter after the fact you get the regular key and separate keyless fab and then another keyless fab for the factory remote start that only has one button on it to start the truck?

I have just the regular key and keyless fab which I dont carry with me cause my aftermarket starter fab does everything, so Im only carrying the aftermarket one.

Guess I didnt realize the factory remote start fab wouldnt also unlock the doors, seems silly that it wouldnt though.

My truck doesn't have the remote start, but it has the all in one key/fob. If u look on the ford accessories site, it shows two options for remote start. One comes with the all in one key/fob with a 300ft range. The other comes with a separate fob with a 1000ft range. Not sure why the 2011 u tested didn't have the all in one key. I'm pretty sure all the 2011+ trucks should have them.

Interesting, thanks for info. Does your key not have the same buttons as the key you get with factory start?

No, mines has a 3 buttons (unlock, lock, and panic). The one with the remote start has those three buttons plus one for the starter.

an anyone tell me what "lot mode" is as referenced in the wiring directions mof these kits?

Going to install in an 08 Lariat and I see this reference but no explanation as to what it is.

Has anyone had the dealer install the Ford alarm? P/N 7L3Z-19A361-AA and if so, do you remember what you payed? I just contacted my dealer and I was a little suprised at the quote for the installation, since's it's almost double the price of the alarm.

Does not surprise me since they cannot sell you the alarm and make money off of it.

Easy fix as I went online to Fords accessories site and ordered a factory alarm but chose to pay for the install while I purchased the alarm trough them. Total cost with tax $288. I chose the dealer that I bought the truck from and the service manager was not happy but as he said he has to honor Fords site price. Oh yeah and it uses the original key fob.
