Default Fabtech 6" lift review

Today I went to 4wheel parts and got a quote on a 6" Fabtech lift kit, out the door install, alignment, the works for 2610.00.
Yesterday I took a trip to desert rat and got a quote on a 6" zone lift for 2300 out the door.

The bro at 4wheel parts was skeptical about the zone lift because he said it's not a very good built performance lift, he also said they "don't touch zone or rough country " because they are more of a show lift. He said the Procomp is superior because it has a dual from crossmember set up and it has thicker components. For the wheeling enthusiast he said the Procomp would perform better because the set up was built better.

To me he convinced me to go with the Procomp set up or the rancho lift. For 300 bucks more it doesn't sound too bad. I'm going to pull the trigger on a lift soon, I'm just making sure it will hold up.

Let me know how well your Procomp lift has performed.
Thanks, Snowhite

The only reason he's trying to sell you procomp is because they are affiliated with them. IMO the pro comp looks the worst out of all of them....lol

With the current Rebate, no idea why you would go with Pro Comp over Rancho...
I don't think his assessment of Zone is correct either. Zone is owned by BDS as I recall.

You may want to consider McGaughys and BDS too. Search this forum. Good info on all those lifts. If it were me, I would get the Rancho and 7000 or 9000 shocks if I wanted a great price/performance. If I wanted some wicked performance without price concerns, I would go with the BDS and their Coilovers. Any way you cut it, I don't think that guys assessment of lifts was accurate.

What city and state are you located in?

Albuquerque New Mexico my good sir,

Are those other lifts around 2600? Cause even then I'm pushing the envelope on lift kits.

I paid $1440 for my 6" Rancho after rebate. I then paid $600 to a local shop for install.

Contact Stage3 Motorsports. They'll hook you up.

Don't listen to that sales jockey...Zone makes a decent lift.

Nice. We have both 4 Wheel Parts and Desert Rat here in PHX too so I was curious.

I expect they will all be close to that price installed. Coilovers are where the price skyrockets. You planning on 37s under that lift? If not, the 4" or 6" Rancho is pretty nice with 35s. You can save some cash that way.

The guy there said he could hook me up with the rancho lift for 2700 installed if I wanted to go that route He said he could hook it up on coils-overs too since I was going to be Spending some money. I don't think that's too rough. I might as well "Go Big or Go Home" haha

I'm running an rcx lift. My truck only sees light off road. Are there better kits? Sure. If I had to do it all over again I'd do rancho or bds if I were doing a little more off road time but I can't complain about my rcx kit.
