Your right but only today did they say that they are rated below the max rating. No makers website would even rate them below their max rating.
I changed my mind on what tire I'm getting. I bought the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 LT in an E1 load rating. Discount tire put my truck specs in and even had new tire placard for the door jam. The new pressure to meet the truck weight and GVWR axle requirements has a recommended tire pressure of 41 psi in the rear and 41 psi in the front.
The Goodyear wrangler Adventure with Kevlar C1 load rated LT tires required 45 psi in the rear and 45 psi in the front tires. This due to it's lower rating.
Sales manager told me the Goodrich AT KO2 have better on road characteristics, better off road characteristics, and better snow performance.
They were the same price so I came out good.

Well I called BFGoodrich today and found I need 55 psi in all tires to equal the load rating of the OEM tires that came with the truck.
See this thread.
Discount tire said 41psi in each tire and BFGoodrich said NO, I need no less than 55 psi.
