Power adjustments
Memory
Power folding
Puddle lamps
Signals and marker lights
And the telescoping can be manual, but if it can be made power for not a huge hassle then fine.
I get this is an expensive mod, but I know what's too much. I went to the dealer today and they just mumble and say yes but this but that harness this no power fold that blah blah blah. And of course a crazy price. Like I said earlier I have trouble believing this cannot be done.
I have a 2013 F150 Lariat w/Max Tow & HD Payload. My tow mirrors have everything you are asking for except puddle lights. Not sure that came on 2013 models. Maybe available on Limited and Platinum.

Well that's odd. There are different variations of the 13's. Maybe you just don't have that one. But they defiantly exist.

I'm in this as a Christmas gift for myself too, haha. Just so complicated and hard to get a reasonable price.

Cool

OK, so you are interested in the Max Tow mirrors, manual extend. That is what I have now. Part # on mine 9L3J-17682-EG5SM3, 17683 for passenger. They are a direct bolt on, plug in. If your truck currently has power mirrors with memory and heat then all those functions will work. I'm unclear as to what model you have. From what I understand, if your truck is a level that has standard memory and defrost, ie, a Lariat, then the truck will be wired for those features. For instance, My '11 Lariat would of came with power fold, memory and heat. But because I ordered the Max Tow package, I got the Max Tow mirrors instead. If I were to remove those and replace them with the power fold, heat and memory mirrors, those functions will operate even thou my Max Tow mirrors did not have power fold. I also then would need to buy the switch with the power fold feature. I hope that isn't too confusing.

Progress?

Maybe I'm just treading. Spoke to parts yesterday, he told me go to a scrap yard or somewhere you can find them cheap. They essentially quoted me 800 a mirror. So hopefully today I'll get a chance to hit a yard. He said make sure the pins are compatible with your truck, not just superdutys. So essentially off a 150.

I told him is live without power extend, but folding is a must.

He said if your truck has heating(not sure if it does) it should plug in, if it has memory it will plug right in. As for power folding, he said the harnesses may be different and he doesn't think they have an accessory kit. If he sticks with that story I'll go to a shop and I'm sure they'll get it done.

How's everyone else doing with this? Anyone done or doing it?

Power fold and power telescope tow mirrors were part of the 2013 Max Tow pkg if you also have the FX Luxury package. If you have the FX Luxury Pkg then the wiring harness is already there for plug and play for power folding but maybe not also for power telescope.

The 2013 power fold/telescope mirrors also include power glass, heat, memory, turn signal, puddle lamps and chrome skullcaps.

Back in the 2012 model year, my Lariat Luxury Pkg came with power fold mirrors. I didn't order the max tow pkg because I didn't want the required 3.73 axle ratio. So I ordered the tow mirror pair from the 2012 F-150 accessories catalog and replaced my little stock mirrors with the tow mirrors. I didn't need the memory feature, so I ordered the XLT version without memory - total cost about $400 for the pair. Same mirrors but with memory cost around $650 for the pair. The tow mirrors were plug and play. The wiring plugged in, but of course the memory didn't work because the mirrors didn't have memory. The stock mirrors had power fold, but the tow mirrors didn't, so my power fold button is just a conversation piece now.

As I understand it, none of the features of the tow mirrors will work without wiring harness replacement and switch adding unless your stock mirrors have that feature. So if you don't have power fold mirrors, the power fold tow mirrors are not going to work unless you do some fancy automotive wiring, including adding the power fold switch on the driver's door.

I have the FX Luxury package, and it is a 2013 so they were an option so I imagine interchangeability is very possible. I know to add the telescoping id have to cut a hole to add the module and wire but I'll live without the power telescoping and maybe I'll add it later.

My current truck already has puddle lamps, power fold, memory, and obviously adjustment. It may have heating, I dot really know, but that is also something I can live without

Heated mirrors were part of the FX Luxury Pkg, so you have them. Look in your Owner's Guide to see how to activate the heat. It's probably a small defrost button next to the rear window defrost button. The heated tow mirrors would work the same way without any changes to the mirror wiring harness.

Ok guys I'm excited. Went to a yard and this is what they have

Driver and passenger side MaxTow mirrors
All black textured
Puddle and clearance/signal lamps
And I'm pretty sure she said memory and heated but at this point I'll live without those
Manual telescope
And she said the comp didn't tell her wether they were power folding.

That's a nessecity and that's the only if. So she's going to call them an find out and get back to me. If they are power folding I'm getting them for an amazing $250 a piece.

The other thing that was unclear was if they are compatible with my truck but the first thing she asked was make model year so they know.

Wish me luck gentlemen

What year were they off of? They have all that information on them so I imagine they have the year the mirrors came off of.

And pretty sure that the 2013 max tow package mirrors that have power folding and all the goodies only come with power telescoping as well. I haven't seen a pair that has power folding but manual telescoping so I wouldn't get your hopes up since these have manual telescoping.

Ok guys im depressed. No power fold.
Maybe I do have to get power telescoping to get power folding, i just likely wouldn't install the telescoping. Thats too bad, had everything for 250 just now fold. I called the parts dept. real quick to see if they knew of a way of making it folding and they said no. Back to paying $900 unless anyone else has any bright ideas.
