I just bought a used 2011 f150 supercrew platinum. I have noticed that the outside mirrors have a orange lense on each mirror facing the front of the truck. I have noticed f250 having these kind of mirrors and they was lit up at night. Mine do not light up. Are they supposed to light up or just a reflector? I have to replace the puddle light or spot light on the mirror because it burned out. So I want to make one trip to parts store for light bulbs.

Reflectors only, don't light up on mine

They are just reflectors. If you are the fix it type there is a post on here that explains how you could add LED's

Add these if youd like forward facing binkers on your mirrors... I love mine... Just be sure to coat the clear lens, and backside with silicone for waterproofing...

You can also buy replacement reflectors with LEDs built in and a pigtail to splice into the mirror turn signal repeater wiring.

One of the best and simplest mods I've done.
It's a great addition, plus watching another f150 drive by, while I'm waiting to turn, and you can actually see their expression of; "what the hell, mine don't do that." So there's that little bit of enjoyment.

Hey guys I have a 2011 F150 XLT and I have the black inserts on my side mirror and I'm looking for the regular stock orange reflector. I'm new to this forum so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get those reflectors or if any of the members just have two laying around they would wanna give away.
