FOURD

I am about to trade in my car for a Ford F-150, but I am undecided on what to get. I have narrowed it down to 3 options. And I will give my pros and cons to each. If you would give your opinion on which one and why it would be a great help!

XLT:
Pros: a lot cheaper, gas mileage
Cons: v6, all around looks worse inside and out

Lariat:
Pros: a little cheaper than the fx2, many features
Cons: prefer black grill

FX2:
Pros: black grill, many features
Cons: a little more than the lariat

These are just things that stand out to me. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Get a Lariat and swap the grill.

Looks? Price? Function?

Only you can decide, as you are the only one that needs to be happy.

I would get the fx2, lariat, xlt in that order. I'm not a chrome fan and like the fx look.

Depending on the grille that comes with the lariat id be willing to trade you my black fx2 grille if thats what youre looking for. With that said, FX package is the best exterior setup offered by ford IMO

If you want a V8 in the XLT get it, if you need/ require a bench seat the XLT is the only choice. Other than that, If you like black everything interior get the FX2. Otherwise the Lariat and change the grill.

I don't like wood grain and chrome. Agree fx is the best package ford offers in my opinion.

Best is such a relative term. It depends on people's tastes, needs, wants, and budgets.
