Sounds like you got what you want and obviously thought it through to use your full GVWR when you need it - I hope you get low 20's when empty

Still would like to see a pic of that cap - I've got the same color truck and I haven't bought my cap yet...

Sticker says max pay load 1408 lbs, max GVWR 7350 lbs. Gee almost a 3/4'ton

And if I don't haul a lot of junk in the bed, my wet and loaded F-150 can tow the 6,000-pound trailer without exceeding any of Ford's weight ratings.

You'll probably be over the GVWR next year, LOL.

I just keep thinking about that EB...I bet those squirrel cages are glowing red pulling that load all the time. Not to mention, the MPG have to be in the dirt. I think I would have stepped up to a F-250 with safety margin in the brakes, suspension, etc.

Towing MPG with the EcoBoost engine is about the same as with the bigger engines, shorter legs or even heavier-duty truck such as the F-250. Around 10 to 12 MPG. I bought the EcoBoost engine for unloaded MPG, not towing MPG.

Granted, but about $10,000 more money. My F-150 Lariat SuperCrew EcoBoost X-Plan price was $40,038 plus TT&L. F-250 Lariat CrewCab gas gulper comparably equipped was well over $50,000, and the wonderful but costly diesel engine kicks that up to almost $60,000. As an old retired guy, I could scrape together the $40k, but not more.

Leer caps are painted to match the color of the truck. They charged me $155 extra for the PlatinumWhite paint on the cap. That must be sime really expensive paint.

You can see the slight difference in the color of the truck compared to the dirty white trailer. Maybe I should have the trailer painted in Platinum white too?

Looks nice! my truck is also that color without the adobe skirt.
How is the Leer color match?

I still think I'm going ARE-Z series....can't stand bump-up in the bottom of the window on the Leer.

Close to perfect.

Leer makes several styles. Mine is the top-of-the-line 100XQ, but they make others without that bump. The grey one below is the 100XL, and the white one is my 100XQ.

Are you sure about that, I'm shopping for replacement for my 2010 F150 XLT, I built 2 trucks on Fords website, F150 Lariat scab 4X4 with eco and F250 Lariat scab with 6.2, almost the same options, as close as I can anyway and the F250 is just over $1200 more
