2. Magnaflow 14" SIDO 12198 with resonator delete (same dual exit setup as FM)

im not that worried about drone...Ive never had a V8 before..so im all about feeling and hearing it.
its just hard to tell which one is louder at idle..and has a more aggressive sound.
if your not worried about drone and you want it loud and agressive then do true dual flowmaster super 40. thats what i did, 2.5 from cats back with x pipe into DIDO flowmaster super 40 muffler, no resonator into 2.5 pipes straight out the back into 3" tips, sounds incredible, drone isnt bad, just ask my 2 month old son lol but still roars

I also went Flowmaster 40. Although I have a different engine it's worth mentioning that the stock resonator works. I ran it both with and without resonator. Without resonator it, well, resonates more (aka drone).

But drone is not necessarily a bad thing. The term has a negative connotation, and there can be too much of a good thing. But some of us like to feel the rumble as well as hear it. For us some resonance is a good thing. If it exceeds your tolerance level, then of course, it's bad.

All exhausts "drone". They all create internal resonance. Some are so low people don't perceive it, but it's there. Put someone more sensitive in the same truck, and they'll feel it. So all this talk of "it drones too much" is like saying "those chips are too salty". To you perhaps, but not me.

Best bet it to try them out. Videos on YouTube don't do these exhaust justice, but sometimes that's all you have. And people's opinions. I hope you find one you like.

that system sounds pretty darn good...especially wide open..
but i dont think its got the idle sound im looking for.
and also...im not about to spend $1,000 on a cat-back system.

I think im still leaning to the FM 40 SIDO...2.5" out to 3" tips out the back..
ive heard that you will get a little less drone if you exit out the back instead of the side or 45 degree angle behind the wheels.

Ultimately you have to make a decision and honestly youtube videos aren't a good way of making a decsion. If you can hear some in person then that's your best bet. I filmed that with a cheap $100 camera that isn't sold on the capabilities of the mic.

Price point is pretty important for most people so yeah I'll admit Borla's stuff is pricey and I'm not going to get into details or comparisons. Also consider where you live if you have harsh winters consideration should be given to the type of steel used so it doesn't rust out in 3 years.

Consider all your options IMO, Solo, Roush, Borla. Spend a few extra dollars to get a better designed product with better materials if you plan on having your truck for a long time.

You say you want to hear your V8 consider Borla. I've posted my "Atak" version which some may think is to aggressive for them but they offer even two more models less aggressive the "Touring" and the "S-Type". Check them all out.

Wow, your truck sounds amazing. That thing sounds like a beast! I am considering the Touring, or the S-type. I just want to add a slightly louder than stock exhaust to mine, so the ATAK is out for me.
