Exhuast on 14' SCREW 5.0
Hey all...im considering installing a flowmaster 3" in and dual 2.5" out muffler..with dual side exits behind the wheels. (and removing resonator obviously)
I'm looking for just sound and i've always liked the flowmaster sound.
Not looking for any performance or MPG gains.
Here is my question...anyone out there done a flowmaster 44 or 40 with this type of setup?
i'm concerned that the 44 will be too loud and have too much drone?
opinions...thoughts?
thanks for yall's help

If you are concerned with drone, you shouldn't even be looking at Flowmaster! LOL

I had a super 44 on my 5.0 when I first got it (also deleted resonator), and it was obnoxious. Sounded good at WOT, but the drone was terrible. Switched to a straight through Magnaflow since then, still no resonator and zero drone. Still plenty loud without the resonator. Magnaflow is also a straight through, flowmaster will be chambered I believe.

I have the Gibson version of what you are looking to have on my 13. It's sounds great. A little louder idle and you can here it strolling around town. It's loud when you step on it but no drone on the highway at all. It still leaves the stock resonator in place though.

maybe a sound clip or something also? or a video that you used to make your decision?

That's exactly how I have my exhaust ran. I'd probably go with a 14" Magnflow SI/DO with no resonator. Sounds good with only a little drone. I have this setup but reinstalled my resonator, it sounds great but a little quiet.
