Default Did a couple of full throttle runs.

I did some runs with my scan gauge to see where my truck was at and I was disappointed to say the least. I will say that I had a lot of wheel hop though and she has the 5.4 in her. I also know that these trucks are not race machines either before anyone tries to bash me for that. If yall have any times record then please share and put what engine you have.

I think if I would have had less wheel hop that I might have gotten in the mid 15 but hell who knows.

7.8 is pretty good for a 5.4L.

I didn't know this is the fastest truck that I have ever owned. I came for a 1992 f 150 extended cab with the 5.0. I will give it to mike at 5 star she gives me that in the pants feeling.

I had a 5.4. It's a stout engine but it's not about 0-60 times.

Yea I figured that. This has been the nicest truck I have ever owned. The 5.4 has been true and tested granted there has been some major leaving curves with it. I believe that all engines have leaving curves. Just like what they are learning about the new 5.0 and the EcoBoost. It just takes time. My truck tows very well and has never let me down. I don't think she will as I am meticulous about my maintenance. I know that it does more than what I need it to do.

I had a 5.4 F150. An 05 model. Put 250,000 km on it before I decided to get rid of it as it was making a ticking noise and I thought the engine was on its way out. Little did I know, they'll run forever with that cam phaser noise.

It was slow, noisy and thirsty but the damn thing just wouldn't die. I did nothing other than regular maintenance for the year that I drove it. And I drove it hard and put on lots of miles.

Slow, noisy, thirsty, and reliable.

The 5.4 in a nutshell.

a 6000 lb truck with 310hp and 365 lb/ft of tq running a 16.2 1/4 mile is pretty respectable.
