Question Exhaust Tips

Morning Everyone!

Ok, here is a stupid question. I have just the regular ecoboost exhaust that comes from the manufacture. What is the standard size for this thing? I want to buy a tip, but don't know the size???

Also, what tips would you recommend? I want to keep the tip to BLACK only.

Any help is much appreciated.

I painted mine. Still looks good too.
Cheaper than buying a tip.

Thanks for the links, been having problems with the search function for some reason. Starting to wonder if it's my browser.

Default Exhaust Tips

3"

I have a 4" Gibson tip. Before I installed it I cut about 10" of the tailpipe off to suck it under the truck some.

Took a Gibson 3" to 4" exhaust tip, sanded it down and painted it black with high heat paint. Also hit what I could of the stock pipe under the truck so it all kind of blends in. Also did what Z7What did and trim off a few inches of the stock pipe.

I also have the Gibson slant tip 3 to 4" (or whatever size is for a 5.0 - can't remember offhand) like Jaysonics and have been quite happy with it. I did cut a few inches off my stock pipe also, but mainly to eliminate the goofy "pipe-within-a-pipe" look.

Check out the tip on the 2016 F-150 Limited. Its more of a square shape. I will order that one once it becomes available through tasca...I might get the wheels too.
