I "HAD" the Roush drone maker, worst mod I could ever have done. Do it all over again? I did. I sold the Roush to a kid, for $50, and took my wife out to dinner, in my '12 5.0, with a nice Borla system on it. By the time I finally gave up trying to get the Roush drone gone, I'll bet I could have bought two Borla systems. Don't throw your $600 +/- away, there's much better systems out there.

I had to reinstall the resonator and it made a world of difference. Im sad to read all of this negative feedback on the rouse exhaust as i am waiting for it to arrive. I had a Flowmaster 40 series on my reg cab short box with out resonator and it was horrible. Went back n had them weld back the resonator and problems fixed. I hope this works with the new roush.

I have the roush exhaust and it does drone at certain rpms. I wouldn't say its unbearable but if you hit the right rpm note it gets annoying. Coming up to speed is annoyi ng when you hit around 1700-1800 rpms. Its quiet cruising at 55 and at 70 it's not much worse. Around 75 it starts to hum pretty good but it doesn't seem to be annoying as lower speeds. I Haven't had it at 80 yet to see what the tone is like, but overall it's a toss up. I wouldn't say I'll get rid of it and I knew what kind of drone issues it has before I got it. I like loud exhausts, but it does drone inside at certain rpms. So if your someone that wants it quiet inside I really wouldn't go for it. Outside it sounds awesome, a nice deep clean tone and I get tons of complements. I will have to say I rode in the passenger side and it doesn't seem to really drone at all like the drivers side at certain rpms. No clue why or how but my wife doesn't complain when she rides and that may be why.

Never experienced the roush drone but I'm happy with my ford racing side exit system on my 5.0. It deletes the resonator and splits the pipe so it enters two mufflers. If I'm not towing anything it won't drone ever. But if I'm pulling a 5000 pound trailer I get little drone over 70-75 mph. But let's be honest the exhaust exits right next to the passenger side door.

my truck is a RCSB just like the tremor but I got a xlt 5.0. The exhaust bolted right onto my truck with no modifications even tho ford said it only fits a tremor. I almost bet you money that it would fit a supercab 6.5 ft bed with just a longer pipe. Just have a shop extend the stainless one that comes with the kit

The good: Had a Gibson Dual Extreme on my Avalanche and loved the sound. The bad: It was an aluminized system and it rusted through in several places in 6.5 years. The solution: If you buy Gibson make sure it's the stainless system.
