Default Is it Possible to buy a lift kit that can be removed if needed?

I would like to lift my truck but I don't like mods that can't be undone and brought back to stock condition. I know most 6 inch lift requires you to cut some brackets to install the front crossmember but apart from a leveling kit, is there a kit that doesn't require cutting of the stock chassis? This way it could be brought back to stock if needed.

the cut is so minor you could arguably bring it back to stock even with the piece cut out. Or you can just patch the cut with the factory piece you cut or some other piece of steel.

McGaughy 6.5 lift doesn't require cutting. 1 hole needs to be drilled.

You sure?I ran through their instructions when I was considering a suspension lift and didnt see any cutting involved.

but this one kit aside you can choose to do any style spacer level kit or go with a coilover setup for up to 3" of front lift (F150 Lifts BOSS, Icon, Fox)

http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...ng-stabilizers Pop them in and out at will. I used them all the time for people needing alignments but couldn't afford new springs and they last a long time. I think the most you can get is 4" of lift, maybe more if you use two sets.

.

Positive they show sawzaw blade in their instructions .All the suspension lifts that drop the Diff to keep ball joints and CVs from extreme angles and early death require cutting .HTH

indeed you are correct. I apparently didn't follow it close enough when I read it last time. Ironic that they still advertise, just drill one hole and everything else bolts up.....

SO, yeah, leveling spacers that are the cheap route that affect the ride quality, or coilovers that make the ride better, and get up to 3 inches.

What had to be cut? I just went and looked under my truck and couldn't find any spot that looked like it was cut.

They cut the inner portion of the drivers side front between the diff and rearward a arm mount next to front driveshaft.
