It's just more government BS. Just like the diesel particulate filters, never mind the fact you burn more fuel as long as there is no soot. What do you really gain? Same thing with the ethanol, everyone will tell you it's not good for your motor. The only way to get it around here is in high test.

4.49 for non ethanol. That's ridiculous, it's should be .20 more a gallon.

Within 0.5 mpg as compared to hand calc and consistent for comparison across different gas types.

There are a LOT of places in PA you can get it. Here in NJ, only one place. At least that is according to this link...

http://pure-gas.org

Click on your state, and it gives you a list of all the places--address and city, even GPS coordinates.

Unfortunately in Michigan the majority of "stations" are marinas and the cost is way too high to justify purchase.

Sometimes mine is spot-on; other times ~2-3% off. Also depends somewhat on how consistent I am in topping off. Usually I add about 1/2 gallon more (a couple more pump shut-offs) after after the first time the pump shuts off.

I took a leave of absence from work to travel home to visit my dying mother. The trip from my home in Alberta to Sudbury, Ontario is 3,200kms one way. I also visited many friends in family. The only fuel available without ethanol (afaik) is Shell Gold. I found I could easily get 1,100kms from my 136.3 liter tank. When Shell Gold was not available, I purchased regular which has 10% ethanol. I could barely get 800kms per tank. Aside from this trip (where I travelled 10,000kms in 25 days) the truck sits a lot and is rarely used. I don't think it's a good idea to let a vehicle sit with 10% ethanol fuel.

1,100kms = 684 miles
800kms = 497 miles
136.3liters = 35 US gallons
10,000kms = 6,215 miles

So yeah, I'll take my ethanol in a bottle of Jack Daniels instead.
