ESP Quote on 2013 with 51k Miles
I passed on getting the ESP at purchase and am a bit concerned with my EcoBoost lasting me. I'm at 51,000 miles and have the intermittent clicking noise on startup, among other things here and there. Most recently - yesterday actually - in middle of a snowstorm - tried to drive the truck and it wouldn't shift out of park and brake lights were dead.
I checked fuses, switches and couldn't find the problem. Brought it to local dealer and they found a chafed wire that shorted between engine fuse block and brake pedal. Had to run a new wire - $237.
SO - I talked to finance. They can sell me a bumper to bumper ESP Premium Care for $2900 that gives me 3 years/60,000 miles. Looks like $100 deductible.
I'm on the fence. Added piece of mind, but the cost...I dunno...any opinions? Would feel better if I keep it (still paying about 37k on it), or I could chance it, or trade it in next year and take a loss...
Really not sure what I want to do...

Way too high for those years and miles. Look online at Flood Ford

You'll probably need to take it to a dealer to be inspected before they'll sell you an ESP since your past the factory warranty no matter who you buy one from. It'll still be cheaper to pay for the inspection and buy the ESP from Flood. Some dealers won't move on their ESP pricing

I am semi-retired while running a business out of our home so I don't put on a lot of miles. Also the code you specified worked and funny thing, the dealer you said to use, Zeigler, is in my home town.
Hmm, really going to think about this. Thanks!
