I've had the stalling and oil pressure warning but from sliding backwards on a icy hill. These threads are good reading.

I haven't followed up from this last post in awhile but I'm still having the issue when the truck will die occasionally when I come to a stop. It does a rough idle for a second then dies.

During my last oil change I told the dealership about the issue and they said they would look into it and even drove it to see if they could mimic the situation and have it die for them, but of course it doesn't. I would say this is happening about every other time I drive the truck...

Any thoughts out there for possible issues or solutions?

thanks in advance

Hi NewtoFord14,

When was your most recent dealer visit to get this checked out? Please let me know, along with your updated mileage, and I'll see how to best assist.

Did you try the purge valve as discussed earlier? Easy next step.

I haven't tried the purge valve yet. I haven't been driving the truck much, due to driving my summer car, so I kind of blocked out that this problem was happening to frequently. But not that hunting seasons have started I will want to figure this out quickly. I will see what I can figure out about the purge valve.

Hi Meagan,

I will look at my records and try to get the date of my last service for you. My current mileage is 62,500.

Thanks,

Ok, kind of confused as to why you would come back and ask for ideas when you didn't try the one already suggested? Could fix your problem.

Good luck!

Is this assuming to much?

Thanks for your strong words of encouragement.

Thanks! Please private message me your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location. I'll check out some options.
