Engine shuts off, oil pressure warning comes on 2012 Lariate Screw V8
I just had my truck turn off on me for the second time when coming to a stop in a parking lot. The truck will die and the oil pressure warning will be displayed. I put the truck in park and turn the key off then turn the key back on and everything is fine. I have made sure I have enough oil. I have owned this truck for a year and bought it certified pre-owned also have extended CPO warranty.
I called the dealership and they were very interested in the problem and said they haven't heard of this issue with this age of truck. Anyone have any ideas what could be the issue?

The oil warning comes on because the engine is not circulating oil, the engine has to be running for oil to move about.
Your main issue is why is it shutting down, let them figure that out and the other will take care of itself.

That makes sense regarding the low oil warning, thanks for the input.
When I spoke to the dealership they said that without a light on I would be just paying for diagnostics and most likely won't be able to tell me anything.
Has anyone had issue with engine randomly shutting off?

I had this issue earlier this month! I happened intermittently so when I called ford and took it to the shop ( for two weeks) they could "reproduce the issue. I ended up doing research and tried removing the purge valve ( you don't need it to run the truck) and the problem disappeared. I don't know whether that valve was stuck open or closed, but after I removed it the truck worked fine. As the "check oil light" is coming on because your truck died. Not because there's an issue with you oil

Also I'm still running without the purge valve on and the only thing that happened was I lost a few mpg from not recycling the vapors

I still have it connected the the line with the green connection as well as to the power source, but I left the blue o ring connection open (this is the part that connect to the manifold piece I have taped up) so that the vapors can still flow.

And my truck has been like this for months now with no issues. I've just been too cheap and lazy to go pick up a new valve haha. But like I said everything you described is what happened to me. And the only downside to trying to see if this is the issue at hand would be a minimal loss in mpg, as opposed to my two weeks without a truck and 154 diagnostics fee to come out with zero answers. Also even running for the codes associated with this issue can be misleading especially if the issue is intermittent because it will only throw a code when it happens

The only difference is your valve will be in a different location because I have the 302 manifold

Is the the battery light on and is the alternator charging the system prolly a dumb question. Mass air flow dirty with oils residue
