Default 4.10 gears in RCSB 5.0

Has anyone installed 4.10 gears in a stock or tune only RCSB 5.0 2wd? Curious of the improvement. I'm thinking it will be better than exhaust & intake. I have the 3.55's and stock 265/60/18's now. My truck is quick off the start and tows well, I just feel that the gear swap will make it more fun to drive.

Youll probably break your tires loose way more often

It will be fast off the line, highway might not be to fun unless you increase tire size.

Not worried about that, I believe it's only about 1400 RPM's at 70 MPH, which is nothing. It barely gets into 3rd at the track. New rubber and traction bars will be coming soon, not going with taller tires though.

1400RPM at 70 Mph with 4.10 does not sound right to me, but I could be wrong.

I like the idea. I'm putting 4:10s and a detroit tru trac in my truck. A lot of people talk about lower mileage on the highway, but I don't think it will make much difference. Last week I took an hour drive on the interstate with the cruise set at 75. I got 17mpg. On the return trip I locked out 6th and ran in 5th. 500 rpm higher, about where the 4:10s will run. On the return I got 17 mpg. Factor in the mechanical advantage of the 4:10's and I might even get better mileage. Like you, what I'm really looking foward to is off the line.

It will help your 0-60 and 1/8 mile times, but hurt your 1/4 mile times.

I did not add the 4.10's yet. I have 3.55's.
