2012 Ecobost 4x4 Platinum 3.55 52k on the dial

this am backing down the drive go to out in D and take off....tranny slips! Catches, then doesn't shift up into gears well...

Engine light comes on stays on - with the wrench light..

Shut it down, fire back up, same deal - not shifting well

Shut it down 1 block up road and have lunch, come back same deal...

Try M, no manual gears available

Back to D and hard shifts and gets to 3rd gear max

Engine light solid lit entire time...

Any help? Any ideas?

Do you have a way to scan for codes?

Id have it towed to the dealership or your mechanic

no way to get the code...

Dealer said they could not take it until Monday, so drive it a few times and see if computer resets itself...

they put that wrench signal/signs in there knowing these computers could misfire on any given day...I suppose...

just back from a 800 mile trip, glad it happened close to home and under the 60k/5 year deal...

was considering the 2016, this could force me into a 15

Do you have a local autoparts store? They will loan you a scanner.

You could unhook the battery cables and touch them together. That should reset the computer.

Get the pc flashed u will be surprised. I also gained 7kms/100 in fuel mileage.

The question is - do I have a bad Tranny or is this a Computer glitch?

Scheduled to have it checked by Ford Tues. am

This am the Service Tech said again, it can resolve itself after driving a few times - well, this is concerning - who wants to chance not having it checked out?

Truck wont go past 3rd gear and remote start doesn't work - I am assuming safety measures by Ford

Hoping it's not a big deal, as the 2016 rental F150 (even though this V- 8 sounds great and has no turbo lag), is not my 2012 - don't care for the updates so much...
