i have a 2009 supercrew and mine rubs. the paint is wore off on that section. i have even had the driver's side leaf springs replaced under warranty, due to a squeaky bushing that was only sold with the whole leaf spring. it rubbed before and rubs now.

I had my Platinum on the lift yesterday to power wash the bottom. I noticed the emergency brake cable routing under the spring and thought that sucks but the cable is well buffered with heavy rubber sleeves to stop any rattles. There may be a TSB on yours to stop the rattle.
