Whistle while you drive 2010 Screw
Howdy I have an air whistle while I am driving. It seems to be coming from the center of my windshield. Here is the catch the other day I had snow on my hood and there was no whistle. When the snow melted away it was back. I did a little playing around with it and found that if the area between the windshield wipers was covered the whistle was gone as soon as it started melting the whistle started coming back. If anybody else has a whistle they might want to check this area. I am bringing it back to the dealer this week.
Hopes this helps someone out.

Yup it is fixed. Seems the bug guard was causing part of the problem, I put foam under the center section. That stopped most of the problem. I took it off and still had the problem just not as loud. I found the plastic inbetween the windshield wipers was not connected together correctly. The dealer took it apart and put it together again and the Whistle is all gone.

Funny this topic just came up. I was playing around with my factory oem bug deflector yesterday with adding some foam pipe insulation in between the hood and deflector and couldn't get it to stop. I thought it was the mirrors but when driving I folded them in and still the whistle. I suspect its coming from the deflector but can't seem to stop it.
What type of foam did you use and did you just push it in between the hood and deflector in the middle section? Also, do you have the factor oem bug deflector?

Nope I have an EGR defelctor. The foam is about a 1/4" thick and a 1/4" wide stick on. I took the defelctor off and placed it about 3/8th" in from the front of the defelctor. It is a pouris foam I got from Lowes. Mister freeze or something like that I don't think you want the solid stuff or to stop the airflow under the defelctor just slow it down. All I did was place it under the center section.

Definitely the bug deflector and window ventshades Both will make whisling sound on the highway.
I noticed it right after I installed these accessories. Oh well, I like to be able to take my windows down a bit when raining and have my hood protected from rock chips.
You have to pick the lesser of the 2 evil for you he he ..
