Default Another deer/F150 incident

Add my name to the list of those who have had a run in with a deer and their F150. Damage was minimal, but the bumper on the driver's side was pushed into my tire, flattening it. We were able to pull the bumper away from the tire and get the tire changed.

The deer did not survive the 60 mph collision. Back straps were the only thing that survived from her.

Glad you're safe. That bumper held up extremely well for an impact at that speed.

Backstrap is the best part of the deer, imo, so that's a bonus.

That's too bad. Looks like you did a good job pulling your bumper back out though

You'd be surprised what an adrenalin rush will do for you.

Actually had my daughter's boyfriend come up with his truck and we hooked up a heavy duty ratchet strap to the bumper and tied the other end to his truck and then just slowly pull, pull, pull. Got it moved enough so I could turn the wheel both ways without hitting.

Haha. I hit a deer once but I had a ranch hand bumper replacement and there wasn't even a dent. I had a friend dent his bumper in real bad when he hit a hog so he tied up to a tree to pull it out.

Been using them for 30 years on my 3 cars and never hit a deer,, And I am in serious deer country!! The very first thing I bought for my 2013 F150 was go the store and put on my deer whistles!! Wife's got em too. JMHO!! They even come in chrome to match your grill..

Don't waste your money on deer whistles, they are ineffective. To emit the “whistle noise they have to be clean, mounted level and have a clear path for air to travel straight through. Even when installed correctly the deer become habituated to the noise, thus making the whistles pointless.

There seems to be very minimal damage for a deer collision at 60mph, very lucky.

Give me some of what your smoking, I could use it!! Your wrong. Deer whistles do work,,I have been using them for a long time,, I am up early in morning towing a bass boat during peak dawn hours on the back country roads near farm fields and see the deer on the streets edge and when I come rolling thru they freeze and run the other direction. NEVER have I ever had one run into or toward my truck. Everyone in my family uses them and nobody has ever hit a deer,,, but go ahead and not use them and keep hitting deer,, for $8 can't hurt to try or use them. $8 versus $1000's in autobody costs...HMMMM,,, you decide!!
