I was reading my Four Wheeler mag. they said that at the test track some of the testers were getting over 30 mpg, but that was trying real hard, on a track, without a load.... I hope someone here gets one and gives us some real world #'s

If that EcoBoost gets 30mpg, which I 'highly' doubt in the real world, I'll be trading in my 5.4 which I swore I'd never do!

the lines under the big numbers say HWY 17-25 and the city says 12-18 its all in how you drive it. My escape hybrid says only 34mpg city but I can constantly get 42mpg around town.

Nothing new there. We have been discussing it here http://www.f150online.com/forums/200...1-highway.html since before Christmas.

that was at 75 plus,
hand figured, but with the capless tank i dont think it fills to the same spot every time and this makes for less than perfect math

More than a little interesting.........
I have awaited the EB engine info trying to make a decision before I pull the trigger on a 2011 F-150 ........ hoping to see a figure around 23-25 for that 3.5 on the XLT w/ a 6 speed tranny....... looks like the 3.7 V-6 is the choice right now........ or the 5.0 ??? I have a 2010 Escape with the 6 cyl engine and get as muxh as 29-30 on the hiway ( around 70-73 MPH) and about 23-26 around here....not city driving....semi-rural florida. It was rated at 18-25 ........

you still know exactly how much fuel you put in.....................divide miles driven by that number and no matter when the fuel cutoff is you still get the correct number.
