Ecoboost w/ 3.55 axle and 35's Trans Question
Hey guys, I'm going to order my 2015 F150 soon and I found out you can't get the 3.5 Eco with 3.73 gears in the package and trim level I want. The biggest you can get on the trim level I want are the 3.55's.
Is anyone running 35" tires on their 3.5L with 3.55 gears? If so, how many miles do you have on it now and how is the transmission holding up to the bigger tires and smaller gears?
Thanks!

There are plenty of guys running that combo on here. I ran it for about 16k miles. No problems at all. Several long road trips, plenty of in town driving. I've got 37's now, and it still does fine. You'll be fine with 35's.

2012platinum, are you running your 37's with 3.55 gears now? I wanted to ask the guys with the current gen because I'm curious how the tranny will hold up before I order my '15.
I can't get the 3.73's with the 3.5 Eco in the trim/package I want so I want to ensure I'm not making a $55,000 mistake lol

Where I live is generally flat, just rolling hills.. I do drive through WV back to western PA 2-3 times a year, but as for trailers, most of my hauling is firewood and four wheelers.. I'm really looking at the Eco to help turn the heavier tires easier and want to make sure the trans isn't gonna grenade at 75,000 miles turning 35's with only 3.55 gears

I would prefer not to void any warranties on said $55,000 truck, which is why I wish I could get the trim I want with 3.73's in the 3.5 Eco

Well my warranty went out the window somewhere around 13k miles (intake, exhaust, lift, tuner, and now body lift). But some dealers will sell you a truck with lift and wheels/tires on them, and you can keep your factory warranty. Maybe something you could check with them on. It would be worth it for your peace of mind

Took a couple for Mrocha85 the other day. Performance Accesories make a Ecoboost body lift. Everything was bolt on. Came with all brackets including bumper brackets.
