Alpine Headunit, Take A Look
Hated the factory setup that came with my 14" XLT. The SYNC system worked okay but the speakers sounded terrible etc I don't need to go into details. Long story short after much debate and searching into what I wanted with the best price point possible I ended up with the Alpine CDE W265. It was released just weeks earlier by Alpine and is worth taking a look at if your in the market for an aftermarket headunit. It looks great for what it is in my opinion at just $250 it has massive power and is able to pump up any aftermarket speakers you've installed. A great option for those who don't want to spend $600+ to get every bell and whistle in an aftermarket headunit. Anyway I don't start many threads, maybe someone can benefit from this new option. 👍

Yes, the sync system is now useless and would have cost upwards of $350 just for modules to keep the OEM Bluetooth. This unit comes standard with Bluetooth and so far people can hear me much better. Especially with the magnaflow resonator delete.

Does the LED brightness tone down when you turn the headlights on?
I had that problem with a Pioneer I installed in my buddies truck- it didn't have an option to tone down the brightness making it very bright at night.

Those are the heater controls for a truck WITHOUT a 4.2 or 8 inch screen. I believe the dash panel come with the head unit. The question is, does Alpine make the dash panel for trucks with a screen.
